There is a feeling that overwhelms me when everything in a space hits the mark. An emotion I can’t fully explain; it can evoke inspiration, lift my spirit or draw me in. I look for style everywhere in my life – at restaurants, in hotels, it’s why I rarely leave the house without lipstick on. Creating interiors that convey this certain feeling is my purpose.

Spending ten years in the fashion business working for designers Jil Sander and Marc Jacobs I was exposed to a high level of design that trained my eye. Another invaluable experience working in the industry during that decade was the sharpening of my business acumen.

When I wasn’t globetrotting or preparing for fashion week I renovated and decorated a few homes in New York City. After buying frenzies at the sale of those properties and visitors asking for the designer’s name I had a gut feeling my career would shift to interiors.

When I became a new mom I decided it was time to head back home to Texas and the dream of starting my own design firm became reality. After studying and working on a few projects Well Dressed Space was born. During my first year in business I was selected amongst some of Austin’s top designers to participate in the Interior Design Tour hosted by Tribeza. A fabulous start indeed.
